Committed to making a difference and helping women through difficult times in their lives, Amber has found her niche in nursing at Women’s Cancer Care. After completing the nursing assistant program at Cape Fear Community College in North Carolina, she spent five years on the inpatient oncology surgical floor at Virginia Hospital Center, which fueled her passion for helping women with cancer diagnoses. Amber now works in our infusion room, monitoring patients, administering injections, and providing essential support to our team. She is motivated by the patients she has the privilege to care for and the people she gets to work with at WCC.
Outside of work, Amber loves riding horses, paddle boarding, running, spending time with her husband, and hiking with her two dogs, Beau and Bandit.
Amber frequently volunteers at Abundant Life Ranch, an organization focused on helping women and children work through challenges and trauma by using horses to teach communication, trust, and respect.
