Emily is a compassionate, accomplished oncology nurse with years of experience in a variety of medical settings. Having graduated from San Diego State University with her nursing degree, Emily went on to become a nationally certified oncology nurse (OCN) in 2017, and her passion for helping people with cancer has made her an asset in our clinic. She loves connecting with patients and building relationships that allow them to feel confident, comfortable, and strong. Emily believes that part of her job is to walk alongside patients on their cancer journey, preparing them for what may come and ensuring that they never feel alone.
When she’s not in the clinic, Emily is usually spending time outside with her husband and two boys. She loves hiking, paddle boarding, walking, and running—especially if she can catch some beautiful views in the process.
Emily has been an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) since 2017, which means she is specially qualified to provide exceptional care for adult patients with cancer.
Emily’s favorite volunteer experience was with the Art of Life Cancer Center Survivorship gathering, which brought together women with breast cancer in the community for fellowship and connection through fun classes like yoga, art, music, woodworking, and cooking. She also joined a fun YHIGH Fitness class at Woodward Park, put on by Art of Life, that allowed providers, patients, and caregivers to come together as a community and exercise outdoors.
